1. WINTER SLEEP
Ever since creation
Winter has summer followed
Mortal wishes whispered:
A cold wind in the autumn
Natural transformation into winter deep
Down into oblivion, darkness is complete
Blue the sky above us
Beauty for a god
Clouds slowly conquer
The white sleep has begun
Natural transformation into winter deep
Down into oblivion, eternal winter...
Natural transformation into winter deep
Down into oblivion, eternal winter sleep
A white snow lace the branches cover
Cold is wrapping the birchroots in...
White crystals in the morning shines
Eternal winter sleep...
Brown the leaves now fallen
Under snow they hide
The birchtree now naked stands
White crystals in the morning shines
Moments of remembrance, summer is the past
The white lace on the ground will forever last
Natural transformation into winter deep
Down into oblivion, eternal winter sleep
2. SHORES OF DESPAIR (A JOURNEY IN GRIEF PT. 2)
Washed ashore, His mind, his soul - awakening
As the storm clears on the sea
His world, his ship - scattered around
Being flotsam riding forever the waves
As he awakens, he rises up from the wet sand
Realizing he’s alive and completely alone...
Gazing into the fog, feeling the cold winds caress
Anguish is calling again, his tears gathering...
”Oh, was it unfortune or was it predicted,
My failure to reach the lands that I have been promised?”
Why was he left alone?
Why was he abandoned?
Has the gods him forsaken?
Shall he forever walk these shores of despair?
In a mood of grief, he walks away
In a mood of grief, his hope driving him on
Empty of all, all but the pain
Empty of all, again and again
As he wanders, across the desolate shore
He mourns his lossm he’s completely alone
He gazes into the fog, feeling the cold winds caress
Anguish is calling again, his tears gathering...
Why is he left alone?
Why is he abandoned?
Has the gods him forsaken?
How long to walk these shores of despair?
Why is he left alone?
Why is he abandoned?
Has the gods him forsaken?
How long to struggle on the shores of despair?
3. CALM AND CRIMSON
A visionaire standing among the statues,
With the wind blowing through his hair.
Crying the last, before he dies all alone.
He had fought the pain, he had seen it all.
The war was never, as they all were dying.
He left the statues,
Because he had seen the end of all that he had lived for.
This was his last challenge, among the statues
Of the calm and with the crimson sky in sight.
Trembling for his sanity, the visionaire was fading away
Leaving a falling world behind.
A sacrifice to this world (of damnation and terror).
Crying the last, before he dies all alone.
His mortal death, as a visionaire
Would free the chained souls of this dying realm.
This was his call,
All that his martyr soul ever had lived for.
This was his last challenge, among the statues
Of the calm and with the crimson sky in sight.
And the sky cracked, the mountains crumbled,
The seas they raged and then all was calm again.
The end of the decay.
His soul scattered around the world.
His body fell into bloodred painted dust.
What he had lived for...
...This his very last challenge.
Among the statues of the calm
And with the crimson sky above.
He gave his soul to the damned.
