1. THE GREAT FAMINE

The violence that begun was just the start
Human beings fighting over different gods
Raping the world for all that she holds
Oblivious to the reckoning, justice behold

The callous existence of man it was that led to the drought

We saw the signs they were clear
Our rivers running dry
We saw the signs they were near
Right be our very eyes

The crops began to succumb
Humans starved and left to die
The great famine was inevitable
Was it judgement from the sky?

Man made chaos
For personal gains
Greed did destroy
Humanity’s shame

Why are the poor the first to die
While rich live in the castles in the sky
The death bell rings for all in the end
The great famine will be your end

The signs of religious fervour
They began to fade
When the bountiful lands lay bare
For which god this price is paid?

And so begins the barren wasteland
Fresh from human decay
To skin and bones they are reduced
The price is flesh and you will pay

The earth she does forbode

There was no prophecy or great religious war
We took and took and took till we could take no more
Humans drained the world of everything it could give
We took and took and took so we could live

We worship an invisible god, destroy a visible nature
We opened a pandora’s box one in which even hope was lost

Eventual the world it will
And we failed this world
