With whips, nails and hammer, calamity enshrined
Primordial paths to heaven blasted with dynamite

Bred among non-reason, believers in denial
Ravaging of infidels, no exile, no survival
From putrid moral fabrics of dogma comes decay
For truth hides in obscurity and deceit within the plain

Idle is the nature of fallen man
Theomorphic masses from virtue declined

Violence and aggression by crowds sanctified
The hallowed and the heretic incestuously unified
Prayerful warfare through the burning times
Rapturous enforcement of a will divine

Roads, lakes, rivers, town and cities drenched in red
Mendicants devour the wealthy as squalor breed revenge

Once golden empires now badlands of despair
Their cudgelled heroes laid in unmarked graves

2. HEMPITERAN MARAUD

Oval, pearl-white shapes
Unveil the first of the instar nymphs
As they hatch out of their shells
Finally free to their morbid guilds
Newborn coriaceous dread
Pestiferous scourge that creeps within
Through windows and cracks open or sealed
Rostrums shaped into soulless grins

As a myriad lifeless skins are shed
Translucent bodies turn radiant red

With mandibles and maxillæ
Heteroptera come feed tonight

As legion they will crawl in
Through gardens, temples and into your homes
To feast upon your dreams
And splatter your linen with fæcal blood
Piercing through every vein
With sharpest stylets and jointed proboscis
Nowhere left to escape
For far away is the land of Goshen

A myriad lectularius begotten
Chewing on life until the flesh is rotten

3. TORPID BLIGHT OF THE SPIRIT

Cloned existence, a pale and bleak place of entropy
Caught in a stream of material rot infecting empathy
Bodies glorified, yet bound to a covert, archaic slavery
A current of unlife straight to the vortex of indignity

Dreams and hopes sold for dimes to wretched machinery
Endless surveillance phasing out the internal distress
Flickers of light and reprieve augment the darkness
Flowing with the sham to the crumbling church of affluence

Derision of failure, plague of a new world cold and heartless
The stigma breeds terror, terror that leads to infinite silence

Life fungi, nourished by waste of life
Absorbed and digested by the vacuum of the hive mind

Jaded, sleepless and swamped by stimuli
Beneath the silent gaze of anxiety
Unplugged from the matrix, our paths astray
And purpose forgotten, we languish and wither away
