1. NORDLAND

Land of unforgiving winter
Cold, clad in white, under a dark grey sky
Silent, the wind, it whispers
Pale sun of gold, gazing from far up high

Endless forests, lakes of water dark and deep
Misty mountains, where giants sleep

Nordland

High about all, the ravens
Spreading their wings to fly to the hall up high
Messengers of the all fathers
Oden behold all with his one eye

Eagle soaring, old crow cries
This land and heaven, forever tied

Nordland

Cold the waves along the shoreline
White wolfs realm from here to mountains high afar
Land of ours since it rose out of deep cold sea
Shine on our path, yes brightest of all, Northstar

Foreverdark woods, cold winds sweep
Barren landscape, untamed and bleak

Nordland

2. FOREVER DARKWOODS

Evening is falling, all still around me
The old crow is calling, but the landscape is at peace
Down the trail through this forest, through thicket we ride
The unseen is watching from behind each stone and pine

Slowly the golden dise of the sun is setting
Beyond the rim of Nordland at the end of long day
Slowly the ominous dark descend upon all
Engulfing all land and heaven and the shore of Asa bay

Here lie the bones of our fathers long gone
Deep in the soil of these woods
Among these great trunks legends were born
Here many great battles stood

Trotting the trail, my stallion cautions
Present the spirits of foreverdark woods

We rest by the fire, the shadows come to life by its light
Three brothers, sons of white wolf, observed by the eyes of the night

Night is long where the sunlight is pale
The fear is strong when you ride in the dawn
Down foreverdark woods trail

Heavy the turf, bone meal and blood
Raise high you pine towards shy
Firm in the soil, tree trunks of gods
Like dragon ship masts straight and high

Reaching the glade, ride on to Asa bay
Watched by the spirits of foreverdark woods

3. MAN OF IRON

I have paced these forests for so long
I don't know if I am man or I am beast.
I, though, hold deep within me a quest for revenge.
Then I must be a man as much as I can be.

I have learned to speak the tongue of the animal
I have learned to read the signs in bark and snow.
I have taken within myself the spirits of my fathers,
Long time gone.
In this short time, far from home, a man of Iron I've grown.
A man of Iron I have grown.

A part of the Eternal Woods...
Late evening...

"Just after sunset on his way back to his camp
After watching the sun unite with the mountains in the west,
He sees the flickering of light between the tree trunks.
Approaching, he sees an old man sitting calmly by a fire,
As if waiting for him.
His left eye missing. His beard as if gold.
The signs on his cloak and hood familiar.
The one eyed old man matches
The description of the soothsayer,
As told by the elders of his village
By the fires at night when he only a child.
The boy, now a young man, eager to know,
Asks the one eyed old man about his dreams.
Dreams he cannot understand.
Dreams about strange things he is seeing himself doing.
Then the winds that seem to talk to him.
Voices that whisper to him behind his back.
The one eyed old man tells him of the cycles of the stars,
Of the trail of fate and of the valley
Where time and space had ceased to exist...

Where his world ends and the shadows begin.
The one eyed old man tells the young man that fate has
Chosen him to interfere with the other world.
The disturbance is already made.
The daughters of the four winds have sold themselves
To the shadows, distorting the balance of the universe.
And the one eyed old man says he has seen him
Come for a thousand years,
And that the aging gods have told him
To teach him all that he has ever known
And to prepare him to ride beyond his world and into the
Shadows as their champion to restore the balance.
To his aid he shall be given a sword forged
When this world was young.
He shall be guarded and guided by two ravens,
And he shall ride the eight-legged
Stallion of his fathers' god.
He will encounter the Woodwoman,
And he will make a visit to the Lake.
One hundred days and one hundred nights
His training shall be hard.
And this very night it will already have begun.

And thus he had met the One Eyed old Man..."

4. VINLAND

Forward : ride the ocean's waves
Be bold : glory to the brave

Deep the sea : above me eternal sky
Freezing winds : cold to the limbs : the waves are high
Sleepless nights : the bleak moonlight : the chill and damp
By morning light : a strip of land we see

Vinland : crossing the endless raging ocean
Vinland : follow the stars and the sign of the raven
Vinland : watch the horizon for the strip of the western land
Vinland : plough through the waves white wolfs at a raging sea

The wind : mighty : fills your sail
Onward : to the land in your fathers' tale

Forward brothers : reward awaits the bold and brave
White sons of north : through hail and storms : we rode the waves
We beach the ship upon the coast of western land
And rest our tired limbs among the reed and sand

Vinland : crossing the endless raging ocean
Vinland : follow the stars and the sign of the raven
Vinland : watch the horizon for the strip of the western land
Vinland : plough through the waves white wolfs at a raging sea

5. ONE ROD TO ASA BAY

One man rode the way through the woods
Down to Asa bay
Where dragon ships had sailed to sea
More times than one could say
To see with own eyes the wonder
People told of from man to man
The God of all almightyness
Had arrived from a foreign land

The rumours told of a man
Who had come from the other side the seas
Carrying gold cross around neck in chain
And spoke in strange tongue of peace
He had come with strange men in armour
Dressed in purple shirts and lace
Smelling not of beer but flowers
And with no hair in face

And the bold man carrying cross
Had told all one of Asa bay
The God of all man woman child had come
To them all save
And to thank Lord of Heaven
One should build to God a house
And to save one's soul from Hell
One should be baptised and say vows

A man of pride with the Hammer told new God
To build his house on own
And spoke loud of the Gods of their fathers
Not too long time gone
The rumours said the man with a beard like fire
And the Hammer in chain
By men in armour silenced was and by
Their swords was slain

Those who did not pay the one coin
Of four to man of new God
Whipped was twenty and put in chains then locked
By their neck to the log (To the log...)
And so all of Asa bay did build
A house of the cross
Every hour of daylight they did sweat
Limbs ached because faith does cost

And on the day two hundred
There it stood white to the sky
The house of the God of the cross
Big enough to take two dragon ships inside
And all of Asa bay did watch
The wonder raise to the sky
Now must the God of the cross be pleased
And satisfied

Just outside the circle of the crowd
One old man did stand
He looked across the waters
And blotted the sun out of his eyes with one hand
And his old eyes could almost see
The dragon ships set sail
And his old ears could almost hear
Men of great numbers call out Oden's hail

And though he did know already
Though he turned face towards sky
And whispered silent words forgotten
Spoken only way up high
Now this house of a foreign God does stand
Now must they leave us alone
Still he heard from somewhere in the woods
Old crow of wisdom say
...People of Asa land, it's only just begun...

6. NECROMANSY

Heil satanic majesty
Tonight we sacrifice
We drink our own blood
And blasphemy while
The moon is our only light

We whisper our sorcery
The acid takes us high
We sing the songs of Mayhem
Wingless angel
In soundless flight

Our bodies completes the circle
With blood we draw the signs of hell
Chant the force of Pandemonium
And recite the words of spell

Necromancy

I gather up the force of darkness
To bring damnation lust and war
Demand all heaven's virgins
To bend before our horny lord

Tonight nothing is too sacred
We desecrate and live in sin
Inhaling the stench of rotten flesh
And of burning winds

Descend from blackened skies
On soundless magic wings
To spread the words of Satan
And live in eternal sin

7. GODS OF THUNDER OF WIND AND OF RAIN

Creator of life. Guardian of the dead.
Goddess of battle and war,
All of ye watch me. My sword by my side.
Proudly I sit on my horse.

And I wait for the sign in the sky to appear.
Telling me that the moment has come
For me to ride beyond the edge of this world
Into the realms where the shadows are strong

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain
Valkyries my soul is yours should I fail.
Let my beheaded and battered corpse lay
And take me where you bring all nordsmen slain.

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain.
Hugin and Munin my eyes in the sky.
Heart of mine thrown in the pit of the snake
I will not need no heart where I go should I die.

Realms of the shadows bring me no fear
I may stand or be beaten and torn
The mountains will stand. But the life of a man
Was decided long before he was born.

Leaving the plains where my ancestors hunted
For meat and for hides against the cold.
Here the fire was tamed. Here our sword were made.
And here the elders amazing takes told

I ride into land few have seen or returned from
To tell of it's bleakness and dark
I see nothing but mist and the mountains so tall
I can't tell them and the sky apart

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain
Valkyries my soul is yours should I fail.
Let my beheaded and battered corpse lay
And take me where you bring all nordsmen slain.

Gods of Thunder of Wind and of Rain,
Hugin and Munin my eyes in the sky.
Heart of mine thrown in the pit of the snake
I will not need no heart where I go, should I die.

Realms of the shadows bring me no fear
I may stand or be beaten and torn
The mountains will stand. But the life of a man
Was decided long before he was born.

I will not need a heart where I go, should I die.

Atop a ridge between the two worlds...
The untime...

"Halting his stallion for a brief second,
Taking a deep breath of cold air,
He hesitates for a moment while
His feathered friends fly ahead.
As the frozen wind tears at his face,
He is reminded of his origin, that he is of flesh
And blood and not of this world.
He, a young man, chosen by destiny.
Putting his faith in magic and that subtle
Thing known as fate.
He is depending on an immovable trust in an old sword,
A stallion given birth to by the wind
And the spells of a woodwoman.
Not even the cry of the Ravens, urging him on,
Can take his mind off what lies ahead of him.
Feeling smart next to these mountains,
So gigantic they unite with the sky,
He somehow finds the spirit to continue.
Having come this far, already well into the valley of
Death, it makes little sense in returning.

And thus he follows The Ravens..."

8. BURNIN' LEATHER

It's something you can't fake it's all within
Seek for the truth deep inside
Let it open your heart let in the flame
Receive it with mind open wide

Shake those bonds loose of religion and gospel
But remain a diehard believer
Never let your dreams die the power is all within
Ands let the flame become your redeemer

Climb the mountainside of your own soul
You'll get so much in return
Ands once you are master in control of within
Then your leather is ready to burn

Burnin' leather Burnin' leather
Burnin' leather Burnin' leather

A coward is no warrior with a heart full of pain
To wield your sword loose lead your fear astray
Open your heart and it'll all comes clear
If your heart is true you've got nothing to fear

Climb the mountainside of your own soul
You'll get so much in return
Ands once you are master in control of within
Then your leather is ready to burn

Burnin' leather Burnin' leather
Burnin' leather Burnin' leather

A coward is no warrior with a heart full of pain
To wield your sword loose lead your fear astray
Open your heart and it'll all comes clear
If your heart is true you've got nothing to fear

9. THE RAVENS

Steadily on jagged wings
Feather black against the burning sky
Spread your wings and ride the wind
Gaze down on me with blackest eyes.

Fly my ravens, fly ahead.
Over the mountains and endless sky
Fly my ravens, fly ahead
Over the mountains over my head.
Let the wind carry you up high.

Fly my ravens, it's time to fly,
And for me maybe to die.

Valley of Death in the land of no return...
The moment of glory or death...

10. BLOOD FIRE DEATH

Deaths star on horizon
Lightning and rain
Black winds and thunder
The skyline is in flames

Written in the red mist
The sign of the one
Who rides deaths cold wind
And walks disguised among

All you vagrant souls
Of profane dis-beliefs
False prophets and deceivers
Shall swing from the trees

Soon the dawn shall arise
For all the oppressed to arm
A chariot of thunder shall be seen
And bronze horns shall sound the alarm

Fists will raise like hammers
To a cloudy black sky
Bonds and chains fall to the ground

Children of all slaves
Stand united and proud
All people of bondage shall triumph
And live by the sign of...

Blood Fire Death

The moment is chosen
The Battlefield is bare
Take now thy stand people
The true ones don't fear

Now choose your weapons
And fall in the line
Choose well your colours
And follow the sign

Blood for all tears shed
And Fire for hate
Death for what shall become
All false ones fate

The standard bearer is chosen
And the day has just begun
Shadows growing long by the rising
Of the awakening sun

Fists raise like hammers
To a clear sunny sky
Bonds and chains fallen to the ground

Children of all slaves
Now united and proud
All people of bondage now triumph
And live by the sign of...

Blood Fire Death

Children of all slaves
Unite be proud
Rise out of darkness and pain

A chariot of thunder and gold
Will come loud
And a warrior of thunder and rain

With hair as white as snow
Hammer of steel
To set you free of your chains

And to lead you all
Where horses run free
And the souls of the ancient ones reign

11. MOTHER EARTH FATHER THUNDER

My lightning conceived was I
The stars above became my eyes
Overgelmer flows in my veins
My hair the mist across the never ending nameless lake

By womb of soil, the moist of dew
Born when sun was high, the day was new
And the raven soared high up in clear sky
The lamb will speak to you, when your heart is pure
And you were made by

Mother Earth, Father Thunder

This heart winged, I am eagles son
Through storm and suite, untouched, it is pounding on
This sword, forged in fire and ice
The runes that trail its blade
Can be seen but by my two eyes

As if written in the snow, the lies, shall melt away
By the wheel of sun to cross the sky this day
Shadows may lay heavy upon the earth
But the truth, cut deep in stone, will last
Till the heavens comes tumbling down upon this world

Mother Earth, Father Thunder
