3. THE WOODEN DOOR

I cover a long lane
All around big pillars hold, thick walls
At the sides women and men bargain
They don’t see me
Where have I come?

A big wooden door keeps me divided between reality and the unknown!

It’s closed by a big wooden axis
Anyone can pull it up
Anyone can-cross that door

Anxiety and doubts invade my soul
The door is open and I feel a light breeze rouse my face

And then a thud, a rumble, a scream!
What have I done?
I opened the wooden door

I turn and I start to run
Running as if somebody was hunting me down
As if something hunted me

I continue to run and I arrive at the end of the road
And I see a never ending desert!
Where have I come?

I’m playing a game that I know too well
A game from my childhood!

I see a shantytown run down
Racked with time
No windows, no doors
I must hide!

I’m surrounded by high walls
I’m well hidden
Just a little crack allows me to se
Who or what is searching for me!
