Once there were ghosts
Walking the streets of this town
All so charming, blissful and strong,
Immersed in silver rays of moonlight.

They heard them laughing and gazed after them
Remembering a love of their own of days of yore

But now these ghosts don’t walk the streets any more
No, these ghosts left forever through the door

And though ghosts don’t die
They will fade away with their light growing dim
Drifting like clouds of dust
Getting lost between the rooftops of a sleeping city
While a solitary candle in a window rekindled the memory
Of them singing, laughing and dancing
Leftovers of a love they once shared

And now these ghosts don’t walk the streets any more
No, these ghosts left forever through the door

New spirits are wandering the alleys now
And high above the clouds two vanishing ghosts are dancing
For one last time to the song of a pristine love
Before some few remaining sparks are caught by a gentle wind
Getting scattered amongst the stars

These ghosts disappeared with the clouds of the night
Making way for something that’ll last forever
That was created the first time you and me met
And with each and every day that we’re together
It becomes more passionate, more radiant, deeper and manificent

And now these ghosts don’t walk the streets any more
