Clenching the ache of yesterday
It still feels so real
Craving to find the light of today
To find the reason to heal
Though they say ‘come what may’
Defy the expected pain
The struggle within remains
But ill keep finding my way

A self oppression fights it
This self longing for decay
Within my reach, I grasp this day

Under the adversity
I’m still trying to break through
and climb out of the calamity
But its taking it all from me
Hold my breath, dive down deep again
Until I reach the end
Under the adversity
Is a stepping stone for me

So tired of desiring things that aren't our paths
Racing with egos to fix, what never lasts
Though they say ‘come what may’
To silence the ache
Drift through the roaring within
But shy from the flame

Forgiving what has since past
Unleash it free
The wreckage tries to consume
From underneath
