I feel the winds of change

Surrounded by wealth and riches, none of it satisfies
A longing burns deep within me, the most evil desire
Your beauty leaves me breathless, so young, innocent skin
It won't be wasted, you're chosen, my victim
This begins to consume me, overtaking my mind
yet I wait with caution, in your shadow I reside

Here I stand
Alone in purpose
The ghost of my conscience
Haunting me
Your arms bring solace

In your veins runs hope for me

These heightened senses intoxicating

Chained to this quill.

My stomach churns as sweat drips from my brow
My heart is at war with my mind
For breaking my vow
My hands are bound

Look what you've done
Losing perspective
Losing ground
You belong to me now

There will be no absolution for these transgressions
My life once paved with the purest intentions
Now as darkness sets in, I contemplate my plight
Crushed by the weight of my decisions
Tormented by the looming light
My hands are no longer under my control
Instead directed by he who owns my soul

A slave to this parchment
Chained to this quill

Born into the light
Saved by the darkness
I long to feel alive again
Mother Mary, I cry out for mercy
On my deathbed, I repent
