Feasting upon the innards

Suffocating

2. DESIGNED OBLIVION

Plagued with unrest
Seeds of this filth
They grow
Treading inward
Tearing apart the sane
Through this narrow chamber
The all consuming void
The truth we seek
Is haunting endlessly
Forget the dawn
It's our last day
And I can't wake
Another dark desire
That I cannot evade
Treading upon the fragile
Succumb to the dismantle
Taken out with the dead
Forging out a path among their lies
They call out preaching hate
And now I'm done
Tear apart the fabrication
Their words have now turned out dead
Dismember their arrogant decree
Let them go

Their contradictions fade


3. PRISON OF REMORSE

A struggle on the outside
Seen within myself
Like a porcelain face
Tested beyond measure
The verge we walk
A narrow line
Tempted to drop below
No greater suffering
No indulgent praise
Just a broken man
In this prison of remorse
Embedded within
Infecting the core
Many forms, passed down
A bloodline tainted
Expression, depression

A slavish allegiance, memories unveiled
Living to die in the passing of time

Blessings enshrined, shaping like wax
Melted away by flames of woe
Spoken in silence, through eyes of dread
The end reveals what always was
Remnants of flesh buried beneath
Forgotten below the dirt of time
