Reaching out just to get so close

Careless of the being you are
Your existence is a threat
Challenging insecurities
Unstable in the faith they hold
Exclusion, the only solution

Deny the vows that bring impairment
Seeking meaning in a love misplaced

Burning bridges, drawing lines in the sand
Tribal minded in this mental warfare

Hindering the way of progress

Calloused, the heart sinks further
To hang onto every word
Misunderstood and cast out
Compassion now forsaken
Trickling away, the lines are drawn
