Lyrics

1. THE ANIMIST

I, I give life to those deemed unworthy
By god to suffer with such a trait
I bring them from the clutches of the nothing

And into the burning glittered dark
Of sadistic sordid sentience

I, I am the taker of the life
That breathes and whimpers beneath the sheets
I release them from their mortal shell
And install them where I please

I am the animist
I hold the universe betwixt the palms

Forged within the maidens womb
And blessed with such a gift
I bend the forces to mine will
And twist it by design

I do not fear their reckoning
I walk under the shadow of the cold winters night
I am but a humble man to their unobtrusive eyes
And yet I see dissent emerge
With every bleeding day

I reign supreme
Life and death are mere words that
Do nothing to concern me
And yet I see the division the clouds the veil
That men do fear
And mask with foolish ideologies
Of magic and religion
Of politics and lies

They whisper and weep and cry for just
To deliver from the evil

That which preys on the supple skin of youth
And the leather hide of old
They all make perfect additions
To my hold beneath the waves
