The band formed back in 1989, first as a High School project, by SANDY on guitars and KIKE on drums and percussion, became a reality in 1990. Later on 2 new members, both Kike's brothers, completed the band, JUAN K on bass and PANI as lead vocals.

TRAUMA started to play in local live rock show bars and quickly became news for main show business media, because their persistence to play original songs instead of “covers”, the regular way to be accepted at that time.

In 1996, MARSOL MUSIC RECORDS, an Indie Record Label, became interested in the band and with Jose Solano as their producer, signed for a long term relationship.

The band considered as one of the best in country's Metal Music market, had the privilege to play with major international metal acts such as MAGO DE OZ from Spain, HAMMERFALL (Sweeden), RATA BLANCA (Argentina) and DIO (USA), among others. They are included in the best compilations albums of the costarican Rock History, such as TIQUICIA ROCK II (@ ROCK - BMG) and the ROCK FEST compilation

TRAUMA, had a big impact with their debut album, reaching the top ten of the main Rock Radio Station in Costa Rica, at that time: 90,7 UNIVERSAL with different hits: El Cid, TRAUMA and SI TU NO ESTÁS AQUÍ

To end this decade, the band is back in the Marsol 3.16 Studios to edit the live recording of their concert along with DIO, and to record "7", their brand new project for the 2010...
