biografía : The Wicked

It was a dark and stormy... no, wait. Scratch that one. A warm late summer's evening of year 1999, two men (respectively Mr. F and Mr. N.) embark on an expedition to aurally depict their warped visions. After a defunct idea for a song and a night of drinking later they decide to give it another try later on. This time with the aid of Tim Burton, a first ever The Wicked song is born. Time passes by as nothing happens for months, but finally these two freaks get together and this time, for some unearthly reason, industrial elements are used. This mishap comes to play a rather important part in The Wicked later on. After almost a year later an eponymous demo is recorded, but not widely released. A few copies are sent to a few labels (Osmose, Moonfog, Century Media, etc.) but there is no interest shown whatsoever. The Wicked are stunned, to say the least. Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder During the chemically fuelled year 2000 (as they recall it), a third candidate for a membership is taken under closer surveillance and Spikefarm gives positive feedback on the demo. All they have to do at this point is to display some more songs which, as history goes to show, proves to be quite difficult for the band (a fiecre debate has been going on at the Spinefarm compound if this is to their penchant for drinking). It takes them a year and a half to compose enough of convincing material and The Wicked are finally signed to Spikefarm. On the way a third member is finally recruited during a wild drinking spree - nobody seems to remember quite when, but nevertheless a real drummer is added to the arsenal. This triumvirate of depraved minds combined proved to be quite effective in means of strange ideas, as the debut album "...For Theirs Is The Flesh" will portray. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Chemical Perversion Metal! The madmen: Mr. Fistoffeles Necrotron Erzebeath Meggadeath
