biografía : Sickening Horror

Sickening Horror was cast in January 2002 by George Antipatis (Guitars/Vocals), Ilias Daras (Bass) and George Kollias (drummer of Nightfall). In the end of 2003, George Bokos (Nightfall, Obsecration) joined the band on the 2nd guitar, but only for a short period of time due to increased obligations with his other bands. As we speak,Sickening Horror remains a trio. Talking of the musical style, the band decided to extend a further step into the classic death metal sound, adding many technical patterns but not loosing a single drop of brutality. With influences from bands such as Death, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Atheist, Cynic their songs are full of extreme speed, grotesque and paranormal riffs, technical outbreaks (adding even jazz and latin elements), hyper-fast double bass, continual blastbeats and downblasts. The lyrics mostly concern matters of paranoia, hate and despair from a surrealistic view. In November 2003 the band recorded a promo-cd containing three songs, simply entitled ‘Promo 2003'. The recordings, mixing and whole production took place in Zero Gravity Studios by Athanassios Aggelis of The Circle Of Zaphyan. Only exception were the drums which were recorded in Fragile studios.
