biografía : Seventh One

Seventh One was formed in 1997 by Christoffer Hermansson (guitar) and Johannes Losbäck(guitar). They contacted fellow friends and musicians Jörgen Olsson(Bass), Jonny Edvardsson (Drums) and Rino Fredh (Vocals) to complete the line -up. Most of them had played together in different band constellations before, and before long the band was hard at work rehearsing and writing own material. It was during this time that they decided to enter the biggest music contest on the swedish west coast-"Rock Of Bohuslän". The band wrote and rehearsed 2 songs "Voyage Of The Damned" and "The Seventh Eye", and also Dios metal Classic "Don't Talk To Strangers". In early 98 the group performed at the finals and took both the crowd and jury by storm! Seventh One won the award for best instrumentalist (Jonny), best vocalist (Rino) and best band. The triumph gave the band great media attention and First prize on the R.O.B contest was 4 days in the studio with all expenses paid.
The demo-cd was out on the streets at the end of summer 99 . One of the MetalMagazines which received the demo was Rock Hard. on the 11th of Nov. 99, they offered Seventh One a place on the compilation cd "Unerhört!" with the song "The Seventh Eye" from the demo.

This was an excellent chance for the band to promote ourselves. Around this time we changed drummer and got in Mats Karlsson. The band wrote some new songs as well as rearrange the old ones. In nov 2000 we recorded "The Celestial Prophecy" demo. This demo was totally made by ourselves ( from recording to cover art) We actually recorded 12 songs but only 6 were sent out for promotion. Some of the songs we put online at www.mp3.com and the response from here was great! .The reviews we got were all very good and "Heavy Oder Was? " the german MetalMag wanted to use one of our songs on their compilation cd of unsigned bands and That song was entitled "Camelot" One of the labels that showed interest was Lars Ratz (Metalium) Armageddon and he promised us that he would stand behind the band 110 % to make great production and good promotion as well as pushing us real hard in the studio. The deal he offered was very good indeed and he wanted to have us recording at his place in Hamburg, Germany! We parted ways with our drummer Mats and replaced him with Tobias R.Kellgren who stepped into the band just weeks before we vere scheduled to record our debut cd! We packed our bags and went to Tornado studios on the 9th of February. By the 25th of Feb we were finshed with the recordings of all drums, all bass, most choirs and even some lead vocals were done. Lars then went on a well deserved vacation. On the 25th of March the recordings of the remaining lead vocals was laid down and when easter was over all that was left to do was some choirs and keyboards. a mixing session was preliminary scheduled for June but was done in August. Yesterday ( the 31th of September) the cd was mastered and it is set for release on the 31th of October!
