biografía : Samus

smaus was formed at the dawn of the new millenia. the aim was to create the most fucked up doom possible with a heavy beefheart and a slight cut and paste dj style. the first release was a song entitled "like them roaches" on a comp called "not without a fight". the track was inspired by william s. burroughs and sounded very much like eyehategod.
the members at this time were jeff gallagher and joe zito. following the release of the not without a fight comp, jeff sought out to enlist new members. jeff eventually would begin to record the basic tracks with current or ex members of draggin green and kiss of death. shortly after the basic tracks were completed, jeff played local shows in pennsylvania with drummer chris frye on drums. following these shows chris went on to pursue other projects. he was rumored to have said that he hated being associated with samus and the eclectic sounds created. around this time jeff asked the help of one john w. busher. busher is a multi instrumentalist and a noted audiophile. it was these two who created the bulk of the album "desangano" which appeared on crucial blast records in 2002. i will spare any description of the album since it readily available throughout the world and beyond description anyways. following the release of Desengano, the duo began recording the follow up. however, a lengthy hiatus was taken. so now it is 2007 and samus sits poised ready to offend and confuse listeners the world over.
