Although Planara appears to be a new project (was unveiled in May of 2013 each member of the band is quite experienced in heavy music. Three of them - Ivan, Eugene and Tony were the core of an alternative band called Asthenic. They met in February of 2010, Ivan as a vocalist, Eugene as a lead guitar and Tony as a drummer. Lots of things have changed for the last three years.
After hundreds of rehearsals and gigs team decided to change their approach to music producing. By that time Tony and Eugene had already composed dozens of instrumental demos, but resources were limited and so they had to choose only the most saturated and qualitative material.
Half post-grunge, half metal-like sound of Asthenic evolved into deep and rich post-hardcore stream filled with progressive and djent elements. That's how the story of Planara began.
The first milestone was releasing a single and shooting a video for it. To reach the desired quality and power of sound the reformed band contacted with young and talented sound producer Roman Kharyukov (Dead Silence Hides My Cries, Sapphires, Price My Pride, Sarah Where Is My Tea). The single was named "Rolling the Dice" and it was a work to be proud of.
To shoot the video and bring in somemething really special it was decided to invite young fashion photographer and short film director Dima Mo. The result outdone any expectations: it is a dark fairytale of a passionate young model and her surrealistic chase down to the depths of her own desires.

Today Planara is working on a new EP album which is planned to be released on September of 2013.
