ORACLE OF THE VOID have always been one step ahead of their contemporaries yet have rarely demonstrated their feats. Originated in 1992 as a solo project when the In Darkness is Found the Greater Enlightenment demo was written. Members were recruited for recording and live performances in 1994 and the demo was released in 1995. ORACLE OF THE VOID played select shows up and down the East Coast(of Australia).

1996 to 1998 saw two separate full length albums recorded but never released due to unsatisfying production. The band went their separate ways after one member unfortunately passed away.

In 2004 original member Gamaliel was approached by his peers in other bands to reform ORACLE OF THE VOID, the confirmation of this took place July 2005 when they played live in Brisbane and a new, complete, refreshed and reformed ORACLE OF THE VOID took to the stage.

2006 saw the re-release of the 1995 demo In Darkness is Found the Greater Enlightenment. Late 2007 will see the first official full length album FURTHER STEPS TO A PERFECT WORLD released. Some tentative song titles include 'The Anatomical Commiseration', 'The Valve', 'Corpse Ash Adornments', 'On Wings, In Dreams'.
