biografía : No Hope

Founded 18 years ago as a tribute to favourite bands like Carnivore and EyeHateGod, No Hope never wanted to sound like other bands. Bitch-Core was the sloppy direction for their first songs, the only funny thing in this project, whereas the music and the riffs together with the desperate double-vocals where just an expression of overwhelming pain and sadness.

Within the years the riffs got more and more heavy, the music deeper and slower, the vocals more angry and full of agony. Was has started as a fun project became intense and serious and even helpful for dealing every member’s life day by day. After several gigs around the nearer countries, there was the thought of recording some stuff, all based on two guitars, but some difficulties in finding the right second guitarist didn’t allow. So the entire material was abandonded without getting recorded and fresh and completely new material was written in late 1999 just for one guitar. As a three-piece, No Hope first entered the studio to perpetuate this piece of musical creation. The owner of Locost Products, Jochen Klose, was more than just a friend than also a big fan of their particular music style. So before starting recording, Jochen became the fourth member of the doomcore formation and contributed his guitar playing on the first CD “Bleeding Wounds” released in 2001. The CD was more dedicated for the band itself and the No Hope family than for a wide audience.

After playing numerous gigs with this material and recording a new demo in late 2002, another low blow occurred. The practising room was flooded and there was no chance to get a new room for entire 3 long years. Never thinking about an end they finally got a new rehearsal room to start over again without showing any deficiencies over these years.

In 2007 the four new songs got banned on hard disc in Jochen’s studio waiting to be released soon. But anyway times had changed and other circumstances weakened the band’s consistency.

After the inevitable split with founding member Marco Marotta, there was no future in sight substituting him as he is and will always be a very good friend. But then came the blessing with someone new and hungry on bass and screaming vocals known as Zombie from B.Abuse, an even long-time friend of us to give us new hope and a blow in the ass. No Hope is reborn, back from the dead and on its way to take some of the success the band never had and deserves so much.

The record has been finished in this new constellation and will be released in October 2009. So be aware of a piece of slow-motion, deep-founded, painful lava-like music that kills you slowly.
