2007

THE BEGINNING
The metalband Nevelhel was founded by Julius on October 17th, 2007.
He wanted to play something like Natan, Estatic Fear, Opeth, My Dying Bride, ...
He decided to found a new band, because the sound of Doodsbergh was so different.
After a couple of days, he decided to found Nevelhel, other names he liked were 'Black Forest' and 'Doodse Stiltes'.

2008

Duisternis EP
In november 2007 Julius started the recording for the mini-album titled 'Duisternis EP'.
The EP was planned for January 2008, but after a couple of recording problems, the EP came out in March 2008.
There were only made 40 copies of this EP, and it's sold out.

NEW MUSIC
Right after the recordings of the EP, Julius started to record new songs. Zwarte Wereld was one of the songs that reveiled a new sound for Nevelhel.
For this reason, he started the recordings of the 'Zwarte Wereld DEMO'. The demo was a cheap recording and it was free for download for 6 months.
It came out on June 4th.

NEVELHEL
In May 2008, Sem joined Nevelhel as session member on the bass guitar. A couple of days later Timo also joined Nevelhel as a session member, he would take over the 2nd guitar. But after that it became very quiet around Nevelhel.
Julius joined Armentar in July, and he met Tom, Armentar's drummer. In August, Armentar was fallen in a silent death. So Julius asked Tom to join Nevelhel, and a couple of days later, Nevelhel's first rehearsal was a fact. After the first rehearsals, Sem and Timo became bandmembers instea of session members.
But also after a couple rehearsals, Julius, Timo and Sem decided to go on without Tom.

Duisternis
Begin December Sem was kicked out of Nevelhel, because of his lack of motivation and because he appeared on not even the half of our rehearsals.
Just before the video for 'Duisternis' was recorded, Julius decided to get Sem back.

2009

NEW MUSIC, PT. II
After the recordings of the first video, Nevelhel started to write new songs, some songs will never see the daylight, other songs were modified to a heavier level. In April, Julius and Timo wrote new stuff that was heavier than all the previous songs of Nevelhel. They liked the new sound, but again they've had to decide to go on without Sem to go on and evolute in sound. Julius played in the guitar and bass after this.

De Dageraad
Nevelhel was recording 'De Dageraad' in July 2009, this is a prelude to our new sound and our album. This sound includes: more death, less black.
In August, the demo will be sold, but only 50copies will be made.
