The Mourning Soul project was born in Sicily at the end of 2003 according to the wishes of Sacrifice, the only member of the band.

The reason why the project come to life has to be sought in the author's will to express through black metal feelings and negative emotions too big to be contained in a human body without excessive consequences.

My Black Metal is catharsis…

Lyrics and music embody the darkest side of my soul…

Moments of pain and deep echoes of sorrow..

It's a world of desperation and anguish, no hope…no safe escape.

The music proposed has to be regarded as Underground Black Metal because it is, from a musical point of view and vocationally, deeply linked to the underground of extreme Metal.

The principal influences are: Darkthrone, Burzum, Gorgoroth, Judas Iscariot and Nargaroth.

At the end of 2005, the first demo “An Abyss Called Life” comes out.

In October 2006, “An Abyss Called Life” was re-release in a limited edition of 150 hand-numbered copies by Funeral Moonlight Productions of Shanghai (China).

On December 2006, the second demo called “…lost” comes out.

On 15 January 2007 the split cd “Mourning Soul & Original Sin” comes out by Funeral Moonlight Productions in a limited edition of 133 hand-numbered copies in DVD case.

Mourning Soul doesn't make any kind of propaganda…

It is the result of my personal, internal analysis.

I have only given the darkness the possibility to surround me…
