Mor appeared as a band in 1996. From the very beginning and till nowadays there only 2 permanent members in the band. Different musicians were enlisted in Mor at different times, but there's no sense in plunging into study of complicated line-up changes. Blood brothers Studeny and Prosinec were always the heart of Mor.

Mor never set promotion as an object. The band's creative work bears a chaotic character and finds vent (in form of albums or singles) under favourable conditions. Mor never wanted to play any definite musical style, they did only what they felt. Music underlines lyrics and lyrics underline music. Both parts are of great importance ! You can find echoes of many styles in music of Mor, the only thing you definitely won't find is a primitive and monotonous music. We are willing to broaden horizons further.

In 1996 a two-song demo "Lesomorie" was released. In 2000 the album "January of the Disgraced Funeral Feast" was recorded but not released owing to various reasons. In 2001 the demo "4" was recorded that also didn't get any distribution because of the loss of interest in the scene and self-promotion. A lot of material (including experimental) was recorded during 97-04.

Activity was recommenced only in 2006, when it was decided to reissue (on the occasion of the tenth anniversary) the debut demo "Lesomorie" with some bonus tracks on CD. It was a first band's CD for 11 years. In the same year the material of the old album "January of the Disgraced Funeral Feast" was remade and re-recorded, two tracks were added, and CD "Soil and Blood" was released on Assault Rex in summer 2007.

This May the long-expected split-album was released in cooperation with Siberian Liholesie and northerners from Stielas Storhett. And again you feel bends of unseen paths. Deep melancholy, greatness and cold envelop this release from the firs notes of Liholesie to the last note of Stielas Storhett.
Splendid reaction of audience confirms that this fatal Monolith is made perfectly right. Frankly speaking, it was made with sound of 90s, combining the atmosphere and disavowal.
It was the fist time since 1996 when alive drums were used. And approach again was different from preceding sessions. It is for sure that MOR has solemnly finished their demo-period with the release of Death Comes From The North.

Now band is full of plans and ideas. New records and even concerts are awaited. In present time band has powerful membership (not only in musical side, but in spiritual ways too), which is determined and ready to carry before !

Band's lyrical themes are far from being unbridled call to actions and confused description of the North. Anyway, all lyrics are joined by Death. On "Lesomorie" the band directed their eyes towards the pagan worldview and fight against human nothingness. You can have a look at band's lyrics, but don't seek for conclusions on the surface. "Soil and Blood" tells the story of WW II in the Kola North. These are the stories of a great war. The struggle of totalitarian systems. Death is everywhere. No sympathies or dislikes, just a strict statement of facts. New things are more personal, they are misanthropic and dark.
