2003
- Ludo (Frozen) who desires to create a brutal and blasphemous metal band forms Maniac with Benja on vocals, Celoo on the bass, D'jer on the 2nd guitar and Zlotan on drums.
- They compose their first songs and play their first gigs.
- A debut demo "Ecstasy in Decay" is recorded in February and released the same month.
- All through the year Maniac performs on various locations in south of France, they rapidly adding followers and supporters to their fanbase.

2005
- Sign a record deal with French label Mithra Productions.
- The maxi album "Burn" is recorded in October and released in December.
- Attacking France and Europe in the spring on the "Kaos 696 Tour": 13 shows with Abaddon Incarnate and Impiety.
- Maniac sold more than 1500 copies of "Burn".

2006
- Celoo is being replaced on the bass by Julius.
- The band take a break to compose what will become "From suffering...".
- Sign a record deal with Smyt Records.

2007
- Maniac enters "Le Chantier" studio during June.
- "From suffering..." is released in November and is sold to more than 2000 copies.

2008
- Benja is being replaced on vocals by Aurelie.
- Zlotan is being replaced on drums by Alan.
- January, February and March sees the band doing a crushing 22 date French tour.
- New songs has been composed during this same year.

2009
- Maniac is looking for a label for their new album...
