biografía : Loss (SWE)

The Swedish metal band Loss was formed in January 2000 by five young men who had all played together for years in various other bands before deciding on focusing on more aggressive metal.

The first promo/demo-CD “Human Decay” was recorded in the band's
own studio “Hairy Bones” in the spring of 2000. The demo was chosen as “demo of the year” by Swedish Magazine “Close-Up”.

A couple of weeks after that, Loss signed a deal with Scarlet Records (Italy). Their debut album "“Verdict of Posterity"” was also recorded in their own studio, and was released worldwide in 2001.

The album received positive feedback from magazines all around the world.

In the autumn of 2003, the vocalist Hugo left the band. Matte Andersson (Godgory, Grave Flowers) was recruited as a new vocalist,
which has added a whole new dimension of sheer brutality and power to the band.

In June, 2004, LOSS entered the “Abyss” Studio and recorded the new promo CD “"No Sanity left”". Tommy Tägtgren was the man behind the console, and the result speaks for itself.

In September 2005, Loss enters the Abyss Studio once again, this time to mix their second album. This album had already been recorded in their own studio "Hairy Bones".

The band members spent a weekend together with Tommy Tägtgren
and they became very pleased with the final result.
