"LANCER started out as a power metal coverband in the fall of 2008. We all met at Ingesund Academy of Music in Arvika, Sweden were we are studying to become music pedagogues. We soon realised that we shared the same love for hard rock and heavy metal, having played in several different bands before, for example Björn in swedish melodic metal band Cryonic Temple. We decided to rehearse a couple of power metal classics, to play in the pub at the Academy in may 2009. The gig was a huge success, and later that summer we decided to make the band serious and write our own songs.
In the fall of 2009 LANCER was born! Early 2010 we started to record a demo EP, and in may we released the first songs on our Myspace, with a gigantic positive response from everyone who listened to them.
Since then we've giged, written new songs, and rehearsed a lot. LANCER has become the prio one for all of us, and we're putting down our every effort in the band. Now the demo is available in physical form, and we are currently on the hunt for a record deal and more gigs."
