The birth of Kryzalid can be traced as far back as early 2002. This band originating from Northern France (Laon, AISNE(02)), sprang from the ashes of the performance band "SUDDEN DEATH" co-founded by two guitarists, Nico is and Micos who thenceforth become the band's vocalists. With their first songs written, their style could be described as a blend of heavy thrash influenced by bands such as Slayer or Megadeth. Kryzalid starts staging and presents a set that combines compositions and covers. After having given out several concerts in the region, the time came for the band to record its first demo.
The idea quickly takes shape when Oliversticks joins the band in replacement of the initial drummer in may 2003. This is how Kryzalid sets out to record "The beginning…" throughout summer 2003. This four titled EP receives the distinction " demo of the month" by the French magazine "Rock Hard". In a general manner, " The beginning…" is well received by the press and the public. The band gives out more concerts in order to promote its demo while preparing for the recording of its first album.

A year after "The beginning…", Kryzalid sets out once more for the studio, this time around to record its first album entitled "Second Life". During this period, the bass guitarist Laurent leaves the band and is replaced by Olivier from Malediction. The album is mixed in October by Fred Rochette who had equally recorded all the rhythmical parts of the album.

In April 2005 the group signs a contract with the label Thundering Records for an Out in September 2005 of the album "Second Life". The group is now firmly decided to make known itself so that a maximum of people can discover and divide the musical universe of KRYZALID.
