biografía : Kania

Kania was formed in early September "03 in Lithgow, a small town 150km West of Sydney, Australia.

Formed by Guitarist Marty Warren and Vocalist Dan Ellery, intence song writting (everyday for a number of weeks) for the demo [Prophecy] quickly got underway. With a band needing to form, Alex Warren took over lead guitars, Simon Holmes on rhythm guitars and Luke Case on bass guitars. The search for a drummer became impossible, and to keep the flame burning for Kania, Marty would have to sit behind the kit...

Now with a full band the self-recorded and financed demo [Prophecy] was complete and Kania was now ready to unleash their unique style of European influenced metal on the unexpecting metal scene of Australia.

The song Ethereal Skyes was chosen to be on the Nation-wide compilation [Underearthed 2] which was released January, 2004. With live performances alongside internationally recognized band "Devolved."

Member Comment: 'SMiM' - Kania have currently 'gone missing' and haven't been heard of as a band for sometime. Their myspace priofile suggests that the band is still active, however no comment has come directly from the band.
