Kahtmayan started from January 2003, Although main parts of tracks have been made by Homayoon Majdzadeh (guitarist) during the past years. Official activity's band, started by joining other guys ,Ardavan Anzabipour (Bassist), khaled Sanad zadeh (Drummer) ,Ali Khodadoost (Keyboardist).

"Virtual Existence" Album's track List was completed in fall 2003 by making some new tracks ,and then the band decided to play a concert , before starting to record, so Kahtmayan was on stage about a week in January 2004.In the middle of winter 2004, Vanik Vartanian joined to the band as a drummer, and Kahtmayan started to record.

In Kahtmayan, our first idea was creating kind of music with vocal ,in eastern atmospheres, but dueto special conditions and some of respect, our concentration in recent years was to write and compose on instrumental songs. The first album (Virtual Existence) is in Progressive Metal style and it is performed by guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. In instruction of this album, we have used some of melodic elements and various atmospheres (in harmonic point of view) and rhythms. Virtual Existence which involved 9 tracks and has been finished by Homayoon Majdzadeh on 2002. We try to release it on 2006.

Because of most interesting to Thrash Metal funs in Iran, we decided to made "Exir" album. we changed our line up for this project and so ,the keyboard was put away. Ali Azhari joined Kahtmayan in April 2005, as a guitarist. "Exir" will be release in July 2005 by Ava Khorshid Company.

After Finishing these projects, we are working on the main Idea of Kahtmayan's music with Vocal! Band's Members have their some side-projects in various and very different styles which these projects can make surprise Kahtmayan's fans!
