biografía : Fear Crowd

Early years

It was in 2001 when some kids from school got together for the first time, without much idea but with great enthusiasm, to play versions of those classic heavy metal groups that seemed impossible to emulate.

After putting in a lot of effort, Juaro Pérez (drums), Gontzal Bilbao (bass), Andoni Moreno (guitar), Argoitz Aranguren (guitar) and Gotzon Iglesias (vocals) set out to compose their own songs and present them live at Bilborock in 2003.

It was not until 2006 when they recorded their first demo, of the same name, in which the desire to offer the public heavy metal in Spanish, nourished by influences from the national heavy metal of the time, prevails.

Nueva Era

In 2009 the group completely changed its style with the arrival of Leire García on vocals, after the departure of Gotzon first and the brief passage of Esti Millán, later. During the following years the band adapted to a feminine tessitura, where there was no longer room for old songs. Furthermore, in 2012 Andoni vacated his vacancy, which would later be filled by Iñaki Araluze.

In 2013 they released their first album Nueva Era, recorded in the Borja Fresno studios (Barullo), where a more refined style does not tarnish the characteristic eighties style that they have been marking for so many years. During the recording, Argoitz left the band, which nevertheless left his work done for the album to see the light. Then Kike Blanco takes his place.
During the presentation of his first album, it is worth highlighting the concert with Paul di Anno at the Sala Sonora, or the performances at the first edition of Azzurrock, Metal Norte, Rock In Ria and several other festivals in the north of Spain.

Evolución

In 2017 they present their second album Evolución, recorded in the Grabasonic studios with a somewhat rawer sound, and some songs that reflect a bit of the change that is taking place in the band.
During this time, his performances stand out at the Sala Santana with Avalanch or at the Sala Tunk in Irún accompanying Blaze Bayley.
The following year Kike leaves Fear Crowd and begins the search for another new guitarist, entering in 2018 Imanol G. Otaola. After passing through the Rock In Hinojedo or EMTE festivals, they began to compose material for their latest album.

En Llamas

After the pandemic and several attempts to find a studio that would be able to capture the new songs in a relatively short period of time, they decided to contact Xanpe (PiLT) to start recording. But it was not until the summer of 2023 when the new album was released. In total, 8 classic heavy songs, with more careful songs than their two previous works, returning to their more melodic and instrumental side.
