biografía : Dyscaphia

In a time when the frayed social fabric of our society is tearing apart and the threat of nuclear and chemical warfare is lived with on a day to day basis, a time when the supidity of the mob will lynch peodeotricians as child molesters and global terrorism is in every headline, Extreme Maggot Infestation, the embodiment of man's fears, lusts and depravity, lurch drunkenly into the mix; pouring oil on the fires of a burning world.

Tearing out of the womb around August in 2002 and creating primitive life at Bok Studios, Sheffield the following year in the form of 'Demo(lition)', it was only a few months before the radioactivity caused mutation. Simon was dropped in favour of Wak, and wardrums filled the air as the band evolved from their rudimentry form to something darker and superbly more evil.

19/3/06 saw the realisation of the blood splattered force of malevolence that is 'Blood, Gore and Cannibal Whores'. A four-track beast ensembled in the blasphemic setting that is Weland's Forge Studios. Guided by the talented, if somewhat demented and wine-soaked surgeon Johnny Maudling, construction was completed and the creature tore from it's bonds to wreak havoc across the earth.

However, a few scrapes were incurred along the way: Soon after the release of 'Blood, Gore and Cannibal Whores' , Warlock (a.k.a Paul) was asked to fill the gap after the departure of bassist, Bona Pjarren, due to musical differences, Matt was recruited into the unholy fold to addhis six-string malevolence to the turmoil and a new dawn was seen on the smoking, desolate plain.

Having shared the stage with MANY such respected acts, the band have gained respect and fans across this smoking land while inspiring revulsion in some of the more weak-stomached fools who stumbled across their path due to their lyrical content.

The band seperated for a brief time in 2008 and have now reformed under the name Dyscaphia.
