Actually Divine Spark was formed from the ashes of band members of Defeat, Insumisioa and Prison of Liberty in summer 2007. Dany, Alain and Yves formely started the band with the goal to keep good old Hardcore Punk Music alive. Pierre and Jonas joined the band and they named the band ''Divine Spark''. The rehearsal began with the first song called ''Mankind is'' and defined the style and character of the band. Our intension was to make music influenced by bands like ''From Ashes Rise'', ''To What End?'',''Ekkaia'' and many more. Divine Spark all wanted to recreate the athmosphere of the old time in Luxembourg, a time where a lot of people supported the underground scene. The band took fast d-beated Hardcore party and flavored it with emotional, sad clean guitar melodies which created our own genre. After few month of rehearsal we played our first show in Belvaux with ''Exit Wounds'' from France and two other local bands called ''Lost Again'' and ''Spell 125''. After a while we had composed a setlist with eight tracks and so we continued to play shows here an there. We gained more and more success in Luxembourg and played more important shows like the Food For Your Senses Festival in May 2008. Then the band decided to record their first demo cd. They asked the Rockhal, but they decided then to record the tape in an underground studio in Bereldange ( Tom from Break the Circle). Now they are planing their first Summertour in Belgium and The Netherlands and they will design their first t-shirts and publish their demo tape.
