Formed in 1996 in Rades, Tunisia, by the bassist Issam 'Lord Kobal' Klai and the drummer Moez 'Immortal' Tounsi, 'Devil empire' is one of the first metal bands in Tunisia, at that time it was Difficult to form a band and to appear on stage.
In 1998 the two formers met Mohamed, a talented guitar player and Mahdi the keyboardist. Together these four members have managed to create their own style while merging Death/Black at the base of the Oriental Metal.
In 1999 Devil Empire began to share the stage with other Tunisian metal bands such as 'Melmoth' and 'Outbody Experience' ... to play compositions and covers of the oriental metal band 'Orphaned Land'.
In 2005 and with the leaving of the keyboardist and the guitarist, the former members spent 6 years supporting and performing with other bands.
In 2011, Lord Kobal become the guitarist and met keyboardist Mohamed 'Lord Gorahl' Gorgi and vocalist Faycel Fassi and decided with Immortal to reform the band. Since that moment 'Devil Empire' starts composing and playing a new more aggressive style which is Blackened Death Metal.
In 2012 Omar joined the band as a bass player and left it in 2014 to be held by Safouan Souai who left after few months.
In 2015 and after confusing personal and professional affairs, Faycel was excluded from the band and the post of the vocalist is ceded by Moutii 'Inferos' Manaii in 2016 who begins at his arrival to rewrite the lyrics.
In 2016, Yessine Melliti joined the band as a rhythm guitar player and left it at the same year, the post was then occupied by Khalil 'Malphas' Lengliz in 2017.
'Devil Empire' is now composed by Infêrøs as vocalist, Lord Kobal as lead guitarist, Malphas as rhythm guitarist, Lord Gorahl as keyboardist and Immortal as drummer.
