Decontrolled is a modern metal band that originate from Belgrade, Serbia, started in the year of 2003 as a solo project of Marko Tica, a drummer from a band Apocalypse. After a few months, the project started to gain public attention in the homeland with a few demo recordings. In the beginning of 2005 Marko joins band State Of Gray, where he finds few people interested in taking part in Decontrolled. In following months band self-releases a demo pack called "Unleashed" as a compilation of all demo releases which gained good critics once again. End of 2005 brings a first solid lineup. With this lineup band goes through the year of 2006, releasing another demo, pre-album release "Self Portrait" and also a split demo disc with Draconic. With numerous difficulties, recording is finished in the middle of 2008. In the summer of 2008, band starts to play shows and begins their search for a record label. After playing Exit festival in Novi Sad, Serbia as a supporting act of THE 69 EYES and ROTTING CHRIST, headining position on Neofest in Banja Luka, Bosnia, supporting IN FLAMES in Belgrade show in April 2009 and a numerous homeland shows, band sings with Mascom Automatic and Mr. Metal labels. Debut album "Self Portait" was officially released December 1st, 2008. In the end of 2009, the band has finished recording of the second album, titled "The Circle", which will be out in spring 2010.
