Founded in June 1997, DAGORLAD is a Dark Atmospheric Metal project. The first demo called "On The Moonless Nights" was sent to various labels in order to get a deal. The band was finally signed on TWO MOONS (The Netherlands). The first album, entitled "Incantations" and released in February 1999, is a storm of raw Dark metal embellished with soundtracks atmospheres. The inspiration for the lyrics has been taken from horror movies from the thirties and from heroic-fantasy novels. This album was recorded in the studio of the band (LUNA MORA ) and remastered in Q-POINT studio (Hilversum, The Netherlands).

The second album "The End Of The Dark Ages" was released in March 2002 by LSP. "The End Of The Dark Ages" is a concept album containing ten heroic fantasy songs.

Encouraged by the many excellent reviews and support from fans, Count Zaroff immediately continued recording new songs. In the meanwhile, unfortunately, LSP ceased its activities as a record label, and Dagorlad, once again was forced to find a new partner for distribution of the new CD. In June2006, this new opus, entitled "Herald Of Doom" is finally remastered and ready. Again, it is kind of a concept album. The story has to be situated in what happened before "The End Of The Dark Ages" and tells the origins of the battle of Zuljin. An extra track , "The Sword" is added to the album, it will give the world a glimpse of the new Dagorlad sound and style.

Dagorlad finally obtained a record deal with Shiver Records in August 2007, the CD "Herald Of Doom" will be released on January 6th, 2008. A new Dagorlad era has started!

In the meantime, Zaroff is having new ideas and again working hard on new songs in the depths of his Willow studio. To be continued...
