Crucified Mortals began in the summer of 2001 as a one-piece band by Reaper. During this same period the recording of the first demo, entitled “Hung Out To Die” had taken place featuring Reaper on guitar/vocals/bass and drum programming. Demo at hand and a few unsuccessful members Crucified Mortals saw a brief break up. With the addition of drummer, Sebastian Dzialuk in the spring of '03 Crucified Mortals began again as a two-piece band influenced by Kreator's "Pleasure To Kill", Sacrifice, Desultory, Dark Angel, Hobb's Angel of Death and other great metal acts. In the fall of 2003, the band recorded a demo track called “The Reaper's Blade” which was to be featured on the heavy metal compilation entitled “Cross the Styx”, but never happened. It had then been pronounced that the band was going to be accompanied by Novy (Vader, Dies Irae, Devilyn) on bass, which also led to the band recruiting session guitarist Zach Rose in the band as a second guitarist. The band for the first time as a four piece entered the studio to record an E.P. titled “Converted by Decapitation” featuring Reaper: guitars/vocals, Novy: bass, Sebastian Dzialuk: drums, and Zach Rose: guitar. The "Converted by Decapitation" E.P. was then release by the band on their own label "Stigmatized Records" on August 13th 2004, it has then gained great reviews from 'zines around the world. Shortly after the release of "Converted by Decapitation" Adam Cudnik took the roll of rhythm guitar, replacing session guitarist Zach Rose and shortly after Iron Bonehead Productions offered to release a 7” by the band. In February of '05 the band entered the studio to record the two songs “Obscured Inquisitor” and “Nosferatu” for their 7” E.P. “Kill Upon Command.” The record is currently scheduled to be released fall 2005 after a few push backs. Due to personal goals and fulfillments Adam Cudnik left the band and Zach Rose had returned as live guitarist. Located in Northeastern Ohio, Crucified Mortals delivers the sound of thrash metal that originally spawned in the 80's with modern day recording technology.
