The first time the band got together was on January 4th in 2003 all 14 years of age, and the rehearsal was held in Thomas's small bedroom, without any protection for their ears. You would think that Ole on bass and Robin on guitar was enough to make you loose your hearing ability, but what really made their ears bleed was when Thomas was pounding away on his drums. Understandable, it didn't take long until they found a bigger place to practice on, which ended up being in the attic of Thomas's garage, where they still are practising to this day.

The first song the band ever played was "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden, and is actually the only cover song they�ve done. They started right away to make their own music, which in the beginning was inspired by Iron Maiden, and they called themselves "Duration". Eagerness for playing live has always been present in the band, therefore they grasp every opportunity they get to entertain. One still fresh in mind is their first performance at something called Aronnesrocken, which is a yearly local event. It was early in the evening, the technicians had turned the guitar too low, but they had a hilarious opening with the MacGyver theme, and they played one of their own songs - still without a vocalist. Even though the songs kept getting better, the music style stayed the same for almost two years, but suddenly everything changed...

A guy named Jorn, only 14 years old, wanted to try for Duration as a vocalist. He got asked to growl, and even though he had never done it before, the band got blown away. His growling was really good, and has now evolved to be absolutely amazing. With a growler in the band, they got a long awaited opportunity to change their style of music to black metal.

Early 2005, after they got the name Creep Colony, they performed at UKM (-a Norwegian competition for teenagers) with their new style and songs, they shocked and got a whole page dedicated to them in the paper.

With band practices almost every day, Ole had to leave due to lack of time in July 2006 and Jorn is now on bass as well as doing the vocals.

Creep Colony was one of the bands that got picked out of 1100 applying artists to be on this years By: Larm, which was held in Trondheim and is scandianavias biggest music conference. They came back from it just a couple of days ago and quite a few people showed interest in them. In addition they are booked for a festival which is called "Slottsfjell festivalen" in July, and the band will soon play in the second round in this years UKM competition.

So as you can guess, we are greatly looking forward to the months ahead..
