Cognition started in Kolbotn, Norway, in 2005. After 2 Demos ("Alienation", 2005 and "Apocalypic", 2006), a self released album ("Omnipotent", 2010) and EP ("Black Horizon", 2012), it is finally time for the record label debut, "Spiral of Deception", recorded in 2013-2014. It is the most extreme and determined Cognition album to date, seeing the band switch from six string to seven string guitars and a ferocious mix of black and death metal inspired vocals.

The album is out now through Mexico based La Mazakuata Records, who distributes to Central and South America, and is coming out in Europe through Hibernacula Records in England early 2015.
