Formed in 1981, Breslau was probably (one of) the first German metal bands to sing in their mother tongue. "Volksmusik" was released in 1982, showing a band with a raw and direct style. Unfortunately, they were unjustly accused of right-wing ideology and of using Nazi imagery, which led to bad, negative press, something that would ultimately destroy the band's promising career, with Weinhold leaving the group shortly after the release of their debut (and only) album.
