biografía : Blood Legacy

Idaho Doom / Death outfit Blood Legacy was founded during 1995 by vocalist / guitarist Jason McMurtrey, singer Brad Howard and drummer Jon McMurtrey, their debut product being the demo 'Enter Crucified Angels'.

Signing to Screeming Bannshee Records, the band published the EP 'Sorrow Forsaken' in 1996 and then their first full length album 'Dawn of a New Mourning' in 1997 (the later session would be recorded with drummer Ron Pence as Jon McMurtrey had to temporarily withdraw).

In 1999, Blood Legacy entered the studio to record 'The Eternal Sun'. However, these tapes were not made public due to the band's disatisfaction with the overall sound. Nevertheless, a single 'Drown' went on to chart within the top ten within thier genre on MP3.com and held the posotion for nearly 4 months.

After a break, the band then recorded and released the MCD 'Within A Cold Dead Heart' which hosted the track 'Winters Tears', which also charted with the top ten of the Doom genre. 2004 brought Blood Legacy's third full length album 'Martyr', recorded at Black As Night Studios for Divison 13 Records.
