biografía : Bleeding Utopia

Started as a side project , under the name ,Operation SidEffect, by Andreas "Fluff" Moren (ex Dead Awaken, ex Astral Carneval) back in 2003.
In the summer of 2009 Fluff decided to take it further, to take it from project to a 110% band. In October 2009 he asked his old friend and drummer Lawrence "Lalle" Dinamarca (Loch Vostok, ex Astral Carneval) if he was interested…and he was. Fluff had about 6-7 songs and he gave them to Lalle to learn. In November 2009 (on a erotic fair) he asked his long time friend and former bandsman David Ahlén (Hermafroditerna, ex The Enthralled, ex Platina) to join the band as a bass player…and he said yes. They decided to learn 3 songs and then have a rehearsal. The first rehearsal took place in Eskilstuna on Valentine's day (14 Feb) 2010.
(You can watch our first rehearsal on our youtube page.) Then they needed a singer and a second guitarist so they asked their old friend and singer Henrik Wenngren (Favilla, ex Vicious, ex Skyfire)to join the band….he also said yes. They gave Henrik some lyrics that Fluff wrote some time ago and a mission to try to fit it in to the songs that they have written.
Lalle knew a guy named Joakim Bergros who was interested in joining the band as a guitarist. Fluff sent him 4 songs to him to learn and then about 2 weeks later BU had a jam with Joakim and tried out the songs that Fluff had sent him…and it worked out really really good. They asked Joakim if wanted to be a part of Bleeding Utopia and of course he was and B.U was complete.
In early June 2010 B.U recorded a 4 track promo simply called "PROMO 2010"…you can listen to it on spotify and buy it in the iTunes store.
The Promo was recorded in the rehearsal space that Bleeding Utopia rehearsed. It tooked 4 days to record and 1 day to mix. There were no solos written and only 2 of 4 songs had arranged lyrics…so all the solos was made on the spot and the lyrics was arranged and a bit rewritten (to fit the songs) on the spot also. The Promo say the light of day around June 16:th or something like that.
The promo opened a lot of cool doors for Bleeding Utopia like good reviews, gigs and a couple of label offers (that was turned down). Gigs with bands like Scarpoint, Invtrive, Condemnatory was booked and new people started to listen to B.Us music and the fan base grew bigger and bigger.
B.U decided to record an album in late dec 2010 and early 2011.
The booked 2 weeks in Studio Seventribe in Västerås, Sweden, to track drums and bass.
It took 2 weeks then they went to Bleeding Music Studio in Stockholm and Eskilstuna to records guitars. All the guitars and drums was done in march 2011, then some gigs popped up so they waited with the vocals a few month to play some gigs with band like Condemnatory, Sonic Syndicate and some festivals.
In March 2011 B.U started a cooperation with South American promotion agency The Pain Fucktory.
In April 2011 B.U sign a European management deal with italian Alkemist-Fanatix.
In june they went back to Studio Seventribe to records vocals.
After all the recordings B.U contacted Jocke Skog at FAL Studio to ask him if was interested in mixing aster master the debut album…and hey said "hell yeah lets do it"
In September 2011 the album called "Demons to some Gods to others" was done
For the artwork a few artists was contacted but the one that got the job was Henrik Englund at H.E.W Designs who is a brilliant artist/designer.
