Hailing from the southern edge of Finland, BATTLE BEAST represents the traditional Heavy Metal sound. Delivering crunching riffs, high screams, blistering solos and strong choruses - in one word: Power.
Starting in the year 2008 BATTLE BEAST's journey has taken the band quickly to the consciousness of the metal scene. Winning the W:O:A Metal Battle, Radio Rock Starba and appearing in the Finnish Metal Expo were some of the early highlights of the band's career.
Fueled by its rocket-like rise to fame, the band soon landed a recording deal with HYPE RECORDS in late 2010. The fruit of the new synergy was soon to be shown.
Released in April 2011, the band's debut album STEEL hit the Finnish album charts at #7. Also the album's two singles, "Show Me How to Die" and "Enter the Metal World", both gained heavy rotation on the Finnish radio waves. Even the press greeted the album with open arms - the
reviews for STEEL ranged from very good to excellent in almost every noteworthy media.
Although released only in Finland, the album was quick to make waves abroad as well. The following summer found the band touring extensively in their native Finland, and also taking a short stint in Germany supporting their fellow metalheads POISONBLACK in November.
All the rumors and expectations were finally redeemed late 2011, when an extensive licensing deal with the dominating global metal power, NUCLEAR BLAST was announced. The international release of STEEL saw the light of day early 2012 and the album was gain warmly greeted by metalheads and critics alike. To support the release BATTLE BEAST gained the honour of supporting the mighty NIGHTWISH on their gigantic Imaginaerum European tour. Spanning more than 20 gigs in 13 different countries, the tour proved massively successful and won the band new fans by the tons.
In September 2012 the band announced another set of breaking news as Noora Louhimo was introduced as the new lead singer, replacing Nitte Valo. Along with the line-up change came an announcement of a new tour. In November 2012 BATTLE BEAST will return to Europe for another 20 shows supporting their label mates SONATA ARCTICA.
With Noora in the band, BATTLE BEAST is now ready to take itself and its music to the next level. The whole band is burning with newly found energy and motivation and hell bent on conquering the entire metal consuming planet. Currently the band is working on their second album, expected to hit the world early 2013.
