biografía : Aryan Art

In the summer of 2001 Alexander (at that time bassist and vocalist of Pagan Obsession) decided to start his own project and to spread his own visions, emotions and ideas. Thus Aryan Art was born - a name used as a kind of more ancient, esoteric and mystic synonym for “Bulgarian Art”.

Till the end of 2001 Alexander recorded a rehearsal, playing all the instruments and vocals, but the material and the recording were poor, so it was not released.

In the spring of 2002, Dimitar decided to help Alexander with the debut demo. Until the end of April the same year, Alexander had finished with the music and lyrics and “...For Total Extermination...” was recorded in Dimitar’s home. The composing, expression and especially the lyrics were dry, direct and even ugly (in poetic and aesthetic matter) - without deep spirit and emotion. At that time Alexander was still wandering and exploring in trying to find the right mood, sound and atmosphere for the Aryan Art recordings. Despite the numerous minuses, the demo was released through A.M.F. prod. as limited tape in November the same year. 3 years later - in the spring of 2005 the Ukrainian label De Profundis prod. offered to re-release it and after few months, remastered version of this demo was out on CD-R in DVD box.

In the spring of 2003 finally a second member was found - Boyan, who took the guitars and part of the music writing. For Alexander remained the bass, the vocals and the lyrics.

In the summer of 2003 was recorded a promo track - “Имеон” in “Come To Sin” home studio with the help of Niki Velev. Musically it was a big step forward - better expression and sound enriched with coldness and epic proud atmosphere. This track appeared on "We Worship... underground black metal compilation vol.1".

In September of 2004 the second demo “Поглед Назад Към Величието На Древна България” was recorded again in “Come To Sin” home studio and again with the help of Niki Velev. Still the music and the atmosphere were not what they had to be - besides the emotions and spirit put in it, the demo is too fast and aggressive and with very brutal and synthetic sound. The lyrics are based on the great Ancient Bulgarian history, but are still dry and without big affection and power. This demo is released in summer 2005 by the German label Donnerschlag rec. on tape - limited to 500 copies and at the end of 2006 re-released on tape by Unholy War prod. (bra) limited to 1000 copies and on CD-R by Blood And Soil prod. (spa) limited to 300 copies.

In the beginning of 2005 Boyan was kicked out from Aryan Art because of his attitude at that time. He was replaced with Plamen - more suitable person with closer position, ideas and visions.

In the summer of 2005 the first album “...И Въпреки Всичко, България Ще Пребъде” was recorded in Alexander’s “After Many Funerals” home studio and for the first time with real drums - recorded both by Alexander and Plamen in a rehearsal room. The lyrics are in the same direction as the previous demo, but this time they’re deeper and far better in poetic point of view. The music is more emotional and majestic and not so brutal than the previous demo. Finally the needed sound and atmosphere were reached! The album is released November the same year on CD by Einsatzkommando prod. (ger) limited to 1100 copies and at the end of 2006 on tape by Flammentod prod. (ger) limited to 500 copies.

During the album sessions also a promo track was recorded - “В Механата” exclusive for the German sampler “No Future For Democracy” which was released on tape in spring of 2006 limited to 789 copies. The lyrics for this hymn are taken from a poem of the mighty Bulgarian poet, publicist and revolutionist Hristo Botev.

In the beginning of 2006 was recorded the song “Свобода Или Смърт” for a split ep with the German raw pagan black metal horde Amalek. It is recorded again in “After Many Funerals” home studio and again with real drums recorded by Alexander in a rehearsal room. It became the most epic, powerful and majestic song recorded until then - both musically and lyrically. The split 7”ep was released by Einsatzkommando prod. (ger) at the end of 2006 limited to 500 copies.

In the autumn of 2006 Plamen was ordered out from Aryan Art. Alexander is totally disappointed from everyone and decides to continue alone in the future with the help of session guitarists.

A new ep dedicated again to the greatest Bulgarian poet and revolutionist - Hristo Botev was recorded in the beginning of 2007 - “Той, Който Падне Въ Бой За Свобода, Той Не Умира...”. The guitars were played by Erilyne and it was recorded in “GFM” and “After Many Funerals” home studios and the drums - in a rehearsal room. Because of the not very satisfying sound and the poor mix, the ep was released only in 20 copies by Oskorei Bild Und Tonkunst (ger) as a luxury tape in special box with logo button, 2 postcards, poster and extra booklet with info, lyrics, biography, discography and exclusive interview. In the beginning of 2009 Heavy Penetration prod. (ger) re-released it limited to 28 handnumbered copies on 3”CD-R in a small DVD box with pro-cover, inlay card, sticker and embroidered patch.

In spring 2007 a new Aryan Art album entitled “Ще Позволим Ли Да Погребат Родината Ни?” is finished. The guitars were played by Erilyne and the material was recorded again in rehearsal room, “GFM” and “After Many Funerals” home studios. The sound is powerful and majestic with the already typical Aryan Art atmosphere. The lyrics are more mature, poetic and emotional and with a lot of symbolism used. The topic is also changed a bit - expressing with sorrow the nowadays poor and decadent situation in Bulgaria and its people as spirit, knowledge and way of living. It is released at the beginning of 2008 as a split with Furor (arg) on CD by Dark Hidden prod. (arg) limited to 1000 copies and till the end of the year also on tape by Algiz Art prod. (ita) limited to 500 copies. A vinyl LP version is pressed too in 2009 limited to 300 copies in cooperation between Thule rec. (aut), Wotanstahl Klangschmiede (ger) and Thor’s Hammer prod. (fra).

In the spring of 2008 Alexander decided to give a chance and trust again to some people here and so, Aryan Art has new guitarist - I.V.T.

Till the end of the year the recording processes for a new album began again in “After Many Funerals” home studio and after some delays the album was finished in July 2009. “...И Берем Плодовете На Нашето Нехайство” is the best and most significant Aryan Art recording up to date. More varied music expressing in the same time anger and love, sorrow and pride, darkness and light… everything again with the typical Aryan Art style, sound and atmosphere. The lyrics are in the same direction as the previous album but even more poetic, emotional, abstract and spiritual. Because of the small delays with the CD and LP formats, firstly the tape was out in the end of the year through Werewolf Promotion (pol) limited to 500 copies. In 2010 the CD came out in two versions - special edition A5 digipack limited to 200 copies and regular jewel case CD limited to 800. Both were released in co-operation between Death Cult (mex) and Thor’s Hammer prod. (fra). At the end of the year also the vinyl LP was released through Wotanstahl Klangschmiede (ger) and Legion Blotan (uk).

For the 10 years anniversary in August 2011, Alexander decided to write an important statement clearing some issues and misunderstandings. Everyone interested in Aryan Art and everyone who think they know and understand it are encouraged to read it.

In the spring of 2012 after 3 years of preparing and lots of obstacles, a semi-rehearsal hymn “Нашите Древни Символи” is finished. It is released later the same year as a split EP with Cripta Oculta (por) on pro-tape by Master Of All Evil (por) and on 45rpm 12”MLP vinyl by Discipline prod. (por) - both limited to 200 copies. No digital version!
At that time I.V.T. became no longer a member of Aryan Art.

In 2013 started the recordings for a new album with the help of Bartlett Green playing all the guitar parts. After big delay caused again by numerous problems and obstacles, the album “Хармония - Вечност - Вселена” is finally completed in the spring of 2015. The music and the atmosphere are even more wide, epic and majestic and the lyrics are dealing with spiritual topics as feelings, emotions and the infinite inner universe of the soul and its mysteries.
