biografía : Arkeronn

Arkeronn is a progressive metal band originating from Lyon, France. Their style is the fusion of melody and skill, the place where sensitivity and talent combine. Arkeronn was first born in 2001 under the name Harmonik; the founders were Fabien Lacroix (lead guitar), Romain Rieffel (drums) and Sébastien Schmid (rhythm guitar). In 2002 two new members joined: Bruno Rivoire (bass guitar) and Fabrice Sollier (Vocals), originally the band started as heavy metal band.

After a 2-year break, it’s in 2005 that Arkeronn started to perform in many venues in and around Lyon such as the CCO (Villeurbanne), the Plateforme, the Rail Théâtre and the Transbordeur (with Evergrey). The band is very active and is surrounded by a technical staff consisting of photographers and cameramen, the fan base is ever increasing and this is of great benefit to the bands development.

In September 2006, Pierre Remy joined the band as new bassist just as well as the keyboarder Alexandre Pachabézian. Claude Dutang replaced the former singer. The band released a five-track demo CD and plays with adagio during the French music fest. Unfortunately as of July 2007, Arkeronn was once again in search of a lead singer.

In August 2007, the solution came from inside the band. Whilst jamming they noticed a real vocal talent slumbering inside Fabien and he had the voice they were looking for. After few sessions, his voice perfectly matched the style of Arkeronn. There was no doubt about it, he was the new singer. Now the quintet is more connected than ever before; the show can go on...

July 2009, the bass-player Pierre Remy left the band but was then quickly replaced by François Le Fort. An change that brought Arkeronn huge energy and a solid rhythmic part inside the band. During this month, Arkeronn also signed a contract with Brennus Music and the album "My World" should be available within october 2009!
