After the break up of their former band (Vanity of Reason) Steve, Eric and Janni searched for new blood. With Jones and Nine they found the perfect match and together they created AND STILL I CHASE THE SUN (ASICTS).

Leaving behind the boundaries of one static genre, they want to explore all the possibilities metal has to offer. In August 2009 they recoreded their first two demo songs "At the Gates of Gattaca" and "Claudia or the beauty of a plastic bag". The sound of these two songs is the start for the great hunt. They always search for something that provides energy, something that gives warmth, something that burns inside you - like the sun. Consequently, the lyrics mirror this restlesness, this state of longing for something.

In early 2011 ASICTS self-released the split EP AURORA with their friends from ENTRY OF A DIARY. It features three distinctive songs by each band.
In May 2011 Nine had to leave the band and Nadine joined the pack.
Be it love, be it clearance, be it peace of mind or a purpose. We all need that, we all want that, we all chase the sun.
