In late 2003 Hecatomb was formed.
In 2005 the band name was changed to Amenti.
A few years, a lot of lineup changes later and the band has progressed, matured and driven themselves into a strong functioning unit. After Amenti's first ever tour across Russia and eastern Europe (joining giants of the scene Rotting Christ and Vader) and hitting almost every venue in the UK numerous times the band are slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

In 2007 Amenti's debut album 'Under the Dying Sun' was released and distributed all across the UK fighting its way onto shelves in mainstream retail stores and receiving solid reviews by national and European press. In January 2008 yet another spanner was thrown in the proverbial works as another guitarist left and immediatley the band was on the hunt for a replacement. After a nationwide call and more auditions than ever before Amenti have finally found their new brother.

Introducing Gareth Nash, formally of the thrash metal band Unknown Fear from Gloucestershire, of which he was the front man and main composer, and delivering an explosive, tight, blistering attack on the senses with a performance style that fits into the Amenti sonic assault perfectly. Amenti now have their tightest, most hard working line-up to date.
