AlthereA was formed in Milan at the end of 2004 when Giorgio, Silvia, Dario and Ivan put an end to Demonia (Doom/Gothic band active since 1997, two promo-CD's recorded in 1999 and 2001) moving to a more professional attitude and a different musical direction.The present line-up of AlthereA has played together since 2002, rehearsing and composing stuff influenced by each band member's background and skill. New songs are more symphonic, heavier and faster than Demonia doomy tunes. The original gothic mood is still there with the ethereal, amazing voice of Silvia and Giorgio's unusual taste for melody, though AlthereA's sound is more metal, guitar-based, with less piano sections and a modern approach to keyboards arrangements.The 4-song CD "Promo 2006" was recorded between 2004 and 2005, after a year of hard work, and it's available for everyone's willing to get in touch with the band. Right now, AlthereA is in pre-production stage, rehearsing and arranging new stuff to be recorded soon
