AHURA MAZDA first rehearsals started back in 1992, in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais. The band began playing live in the same year and the gigs were known by unusual setlists. Although the performances comprised covers of traditional heavy metal bands, the songs chosen were not played by most of the other coverbands at the time. Tracks like Seek and Destroy, by Metallica, and Seasons in the Abyss, by Slayer, were some of the favorites among a very loyal public, during great 3 years.

In 1994, VINICIUS MARRA (VOCALS) , RENATO GUERRA (GUITAR) , MILTON BRAGANCA (GUITAR), EDUARDO MONTANHEIRO (BASS) and MAURAO (DRUMS) recorded a demo CD, with 4 original songs, but the band split in 1995.

In 2005, after a 10 years period, the band got back to the stages and re-recorded the original demo. "FIGHTING TOYS", "THE ARMY","ENEMIES" and "SOMETHING CALLED SOCIETY" gained more quality and some different arrangements among the original riffs.
