biografía : Ad Inferna

In December 1996 born De Profundis, a gothic doom metal band managed by V. Orias A. & N. Aboriim. During more of 2 years, the band performed over a gothic style with some black influences. A few times after, De Profundis is joined by a keyboard player, who added some symphonic & orchestral touches to the band. Then, De Profundis recorded the first demo, called "Severence", released at Requiem Records, an underground French label, which distributed the demo in 500 copies.
Two months after, all the copies were sold, and the band began to make some gigs all over France. Then, an Italian label called Nocturnal Music (Let Me Dream, Undertakers, The Sins of thy Beloved…) showed it interest to the band and signed them after the second demo "The Winter of Oblivion & Pain", also released at Requiem Records in 500 copies.

De Profundis then recorded his first album untitled "Siècle de Cendres", which is the French translation of "Century of Ashes". The album is out one year after it recording and is distributed all over Europe & Japan.

In January 2000, De Profundis became Ad Inferna, due to several copyright reasons, and bury the past of the previous name in performing on a whole another bombastic style, less gothic, but more orchestral, more dark, more aggressive…

Ad Inferna entered then in serious contact with the German label Skaldic Art Prod., the Vratyas Vakyas (Falkenbach) label (Obsidian Gate, Ordo Draconis, Furthest Shore…). After a lot of plans & discussions, Ad Inferna is projected to enter in studio in the early 2001, but unfortunately, the German label seemed not able to support the band as soon, due to several release reasons…

February 2001, Ad Inferna decided to break off the collaboration with Skaldic Art, and then to record an advance CD on the home studio of V. Orias A., under an unique copy, for the German label Last Episode Productions.

Ad Inferna then signed a 03 CD deal with Last Episode.

The first book of the trilogy untitled "L'empire Des Sens" will be recorded in August at the Excess Studio in Holland (Sinister, Houwitser, Ordo Draconis…) and will be out over September / October 2001. The band is announced by the magazines like one of the greatest revelation in the orchestral dark scene. (Limbonic Art, Sirius, Eminenz, Mystic Circle…).
