Jim was the singer of Los Angeles area Thrash Metal band, Death Force, from 1985-1986. From there, Jim joined Dark Angel at the end of 1986, as their new singer. In 1987, Dark Angel and Possessed went on the Gates of Darkness tour of North America. Sometime after the tour ended, Jim and Dark Angel parted ways. Jim then rejoined Death Force and they performed a few more shows. Ultimately Death Force broke up and Jim gave up music.
