Dion Christodoulatos, is a Greek musician and record producer, best known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of the Gothic Metal band "Sorrowful Angels" as well as being a member and creator of several other music projects.
Dion is a classically trained pianist and self-taught producer, audio engineer, guitar player, playing other instruments as needed (including bass guitar, harmonica, percussion and other ethnic instruments).
His diverse musical experiments range from ambient, electronic and classical music, to progressive rock, metal and pop.
Born in 1983, Dion started taking piano lessons at the early age of 5, which is the basis of his formal classical training. His studies include composition, fugue and orchestration at the Musicology department of the Capodestrean University of Athens.
At the age of 13 he picks his first electric guitar and enters the world of Rock music. Soon enough he starts his musical ventures with bands, landing gigs and collaborating with various musicians of the Greek Scene.
From 2000 he begins producing albums for Indie bands at his CFN Recordings Studio, among other things composing music for theatrical plays and movies.
In 2008, he co-founds "Sorrowful Angels" and only a few moths later they release their debut album under Sleaszy Rider Records which makes a huge impact on the Greek Scene followed by gigs around Europe.
In 2013, he enters the Neoclassical-Avant Garde act "Chaostar" formed by members of metal legends "Septic Flesh" as a keyboard/piano player for their "Anomima" European Tour.
Throughout the years, Dion has performed internationally at numerous large scale events establishing his reputation as a seasoned performer and solid songwriter/composer.
